AS TIME GOES BY

As time goes by, passing through my mind things which happened long ago not solely in one night leaving their mark in my entire life Memories of beloved faces who vanished and amorous desires which faded away in the infinity of time. And as the years go by I still remember, in fear, the soldiers’ hasty pace the agony on people’s face searching for a safe place. The horror in children’ eyes as they flee towards the sea. The powerful leaders promising “no more wars” giving hope to people for a better world. But time goes by, the wars have no end, my time is running out and I live in despair.
